DDLJ vs JTHJ

As we all know "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" s doing great at the box office. "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" s legendary. People have have watched DDLJ over and over again, even years after it .
My question to all of you s: Do you think that JTHJ has the factor to watch it over and over again. Even years after it.
So not, then why?

i see this movie from a creative director's point of view, who is mature enough to see the daughter's love for her dad and hence her sacrifice. she is rich and which can be lonely at times, and money is not so important as she has a lot, so her falling in love with a poor guy and that too if its someone like shahrukh khan, is justified. shahrukh is so heartbroken in love later that he starts playing with danger while putting his focus towards patriotism. yashi ji portrayed the purity of love and soul but it is a pity that very few people have it these days and understanding these complexities of relationships is beyond their grasp. the indian society and culture has joined the rat race and forgotton the basic essence and purity of relationships....wake up guys!

i hate jthj and the jodi of srk and kat...it has no story...memory comes nd goes in a flash or in an accident.....ddlj is 10000000times better as it has a story nd the best jodi nd i do not want to see kat with srk ...in ddlj they r such a good pair that they dont need to show loving nd so called romantic scenes one can realize that love but not in jthj srk and katrina are oviously trying to show the love which cant be seen :-D

Jab Tak Hai Jaan is Yash Chopra's best film.Just like DDLJ it should also b watched over again and again.DDLJ is still running I think JTHJ should also run many years. Its a special film coz its YC's last film.
Ddlj was great movie of bollywood........i love srk in both movies.......he is the king of the world..........

DDLJ obviously!!! DDlj, great jodi, great music, great storyline.....JtHJ , not great music, definitely not good jodi(srk-kat) and not strong storyline........i would definitely prefer ddlj as it is much better than jthj (even though i a big srk fan) ddlj rocks!

DDLJ reconfirmed traditional desi values that transcended class and religious lines, excellent dialogs, delivery, memorable performances from the main and supporting actors; memorable songs and lyrics plus a Shah Rukh that was actually young and believable; JTHJ was typical Bollywood stuff, paisa vaisool but the scenarios were too unbelievable-- super rich loves a waiter? and that too an old waiter trying to act young, and then this waiter magically becomes a bomb defuser, etc... I would seriously be embarassed to show this movie to westerners or even my kids in ten years, very disappointed and couldn't believe this was a Yash Chopra movie with music by AR Rahman

    Both are vastly overated.
Kal ho na ho( srk's best movie) has a better screenplay than DDLJ,KKHT,K3G,JTHJ.

DDLJ is a legend only because of its excellent songs which appeals to all families. The screenplay was attempted many times before.
JTHJ songs are forgettable. The only advantage it has is that it is Yash chopra's last movie before he died.

I don't understand why it canntot break any record of box office?
My friends from india told me that it's one of the best movie of bollywood of all time.
I'm so upset that it cannton make a business over 300crore...,

Shahrukh was in top form in both films, but JHTJ was missing the Yash Raj heroine factor that just makes the films so much better.

Looking back at not only DDLJ, but DTPH, Veer Zaara, Preity, Rani & Kajol played their roles with such grace and perfection its hard to envision anyone else but them.

JHTJ, I could've easily seen Priyanka/Kareena do WAAAAY better than Katrina/Anushka in their roles respectively

Katrina Kaif starer Jab Tak Hai Jaan

I don't see Katrina as a wooden doll in Jab Tak Hai Jaan. She is doing reasonably well in depicting her emotions as Meera. Her acting is very natural, as if we saw the real Katrina in Meera. Her role suits her really well just like her role as Laila in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The late Yashji has written her role keeping her mind. Overall, her acting is quite convincing in the film, this may be because Katrina is still playing it safe in her comfort zone. Once she step out and take some challenges with meaty and different kind of roles, I'm sure she'll be explosive (example: Deepika in Cocktail).

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge remained one of the best films in the history of Indian cinema. Both characters for the hero and heroine are strong and exceptionally written (both SRK & Kajol won Best Actor & Best Actress for the film). The storyline, plot and screenplay are just perfect. All songs are epic and memorable until today.

On contrary, Jab Tak Hai Jaan is an innovative effort by the late Yashji by giving some fresh twists to the simple and typical story. SRK's role is perfectly written and his story is complete as the one who drives the story from the beginning until the end. However, I'm a bit disappointed with the way Katrina's role is written and executed. For me, her role is too simple and everything is just too perfect about her, unlike all Yashji's previous heroines who faced huge obstacles which became the main factor of the story. For me, Katrina's role is all about beauty and too emotional. Anushka is given a minimal yet significant role in the film (although her role is not that strong compared to Rani's role in Veer-Zaara and Karisma's role in DTPH). In short, SRK is the only winning factor of the film, which he will possibly grab the Best Actor Award for his role as Samar. Music by A.R. Rahman is good but not as exceptional as DDLJ. Some songs like Saans and Heer are somewhat memorable.

DDLJ !!any day! SRK-Kajol chemistry rocked!
    JTHJ- SRK-Katrina chemistry sucked :/
I kept wondering, why in the world was Kats cast in a film that required her to actually "perform". She should be given an award for being the most wooden actress of bollywood.

simple. because katrina is in it. just running around like a wooden doll which makes it intolerable.
where as DDLJ had a strong actress in it, makes it incomparable.
    nevertheless anushka was good.
