to the guy/girl who said afghans are originally indian i am an afghan myself and i think you really need to do some research afghanistan never was part of india, but india has been part of afghanistan and no we afghans are not indians that i am more than 100% sure because i know my history its more likely that pakistanis are of indian origin

Anonymous's picture

Eurgh! Please leave Pakistan out of this, this is obviously about Pahtuns and Indian Hindus, quit dragging Pakistan into the petty debate. Besides, these people don't even know or are willing to acknowledge your existance, so what difference does it make on what you think about them...pffft!

Mashallah!!

Pakistanis have a chip on their shoulder. Arrogant people.

Anonymous's picture

People are also forgetting that southern afghanistan was also a part of india at quite a few stages in history, including the time of the rigveda which means ORIGINALLY afghanis were indian and hindu. Therefore the kapoors are indian, end of story. bas.

why so much fuss about they being Indians or Pakistanis? haven't they been entertaining ppl from both side of the border since generations? :)
However, Inst it quite simple to understand that ppl having chosen to live in India are Indians?

@Kapoor family doesn't have Indian origin to begin with .... They're from Faislabad in the Punjab province of Pakistan (back than it was called Lyallpur). Theyr'e pathans (afghanis/pashtuns) .... If you research on their family background you'll find out what I'm saying is right.

Wrong. I agree with you that they are from faislabad which is in the punjab province of pakistan as it stands today. However, the lyallpur that they come from was in British India. Pakistan is a new country, India isnt. So, if people left those states that currently reside in what you call pakistan today, they left as indians not pakistanis. This is the same for all people no matter what city or state or town they were born in. It was all india. They identified themselves as indians. Pakistan was created in 1947 so the people who chose to go there or stay there today identify themselves as pakistani. It's very simple.

@"yeah pakistan may have been india my dearies :) bt they are pashtun as am i and we are afghans NWFP the province of Pakistan and I am proud to call my self a Pakistani Pashtun....anyways so NWFP (Northwestern Frontier Province) was originally part of Afghanistan and we Pashtuns of Pakistan are from there:) so dear the Kapoor family if you guys get your facts straight are not originally INDIAN lol bt they are AFGHAN...lol they were a famous Pashtun Hindu family thus they hv assimilated into your peoples culture..but the fact is Pashtuns are not at all Indians :D so sorry to hurt your feelings....oh and maybe since u may not know who Pashtuns are u should look us up"

I agree with you that the area of peshawar is today in Pakistan. However, peshawar belonged to India when they lived there. So, pakistan doesn't even come into the equation. The fact that it originally belonged to Afghanistan is fair enough. So yes, originally they hail from afghanistan. But through times, they moved to Bombay and have settled there. As it stands today, they identify themselves as being Indian but ofcourse they are proud to have originated from Peshawar and their pathan ancestory. Anyways, who freakin cares?! Unity breads love, divisions breed hatred! Love dont hate!

Wonder of Krishna raj kapoor has ever given an interview!! She is so media quiet...

We are from Peshawar and know that the Kapoor family are definitely Pathans, they still have a house here and come here every year for vacation. It is a well known fact in Peshawar. They do not look out of place here as they look like the indigenous population. In fact there are many Sikh Pushtoons here because the religion spread from Lahore to the Western border.

Anonymous's picture

get you facts straight they are punjabis who lived in the area you guys call NWFP, but know that you guys only invaded recently in the last couple thousand years but indian history is ancient and we were there first.

i think guy in glasses is adiyta raj kapoor...shammi kapoor's son...dont know for sure though

Anonymous's picture

who is this guy, first pic first row sitting next to karisma kapoor? with the glases?
And just for the record: Pakistan and thus Peshawar used to be British India, so everyone from there was considered Indian (before partition). That much you guys must have learned in school. Peshawar was a major center of Buddhist until 10th century.

LMAO!!! Skin issue here...shame that their good acting skills aren't as interesting as their skin colour.

Anonymous's picture

fairness is all over india...jaylalitha is brahmin south indian and is as fair as them...no categorizations needed...doesnt matter where everyone is from

Anonymous's picture

well pakistan was india back then...and lots of ppl crossed borders...so they are indians...so guess thats the answer. jaylalitha is indian

Anonymous's picture

Babita Bhambani's mother is a British Christian not Indian.

ritzy86's picture

Colored eyes or non colored eyes doesn't matter I think Rishi and Sashi were the most good looking guys in the Kapoor family and they both had brown eyes. Kapoor family is definitely very pretty naturally.

ritzy86's picture

The skin color kapoor family has is not un common in Pakistan at all .... All pashtuns have it and if you go to Pakistan you'll see mroe than 75% of people are very light or kapoor familys color (Pashtun or non pashtun). Ofcourse we're not talking about poor people because they're always in sun but even most poor servants I had in pakistan had colored eyes and light hair.
