Freida Pinto from Slumdog Millionaire
I just watched Slumdog millionaire and loved it. Frieda pinto was good and she is gorgeous too. Not a GREAT movie but worth a watch.

wow.. Freida does not wear the Bollywood pancake and fake contacts and fake hair color.. but if she did.. she could outshine them easily. she has so much more potential than she shows--- and she's so so deeply gorgeous. the first photo easily shows so. it's beyond tragic how much hate she was shown time and time again, not just for her... but a whole class of people who cannot defend themselves.

But if you look at these types of comments, one realizes that the name was meant to show the true view and actions of certain ignornt people who think similarly: people are henpecked very similarly in real life... and that's gotta stop!
Everyone is special.. SM is real... Frieda is awesome.. and your stars you like are awesome too. Better still, everyone is awesome in their own way.

Thu, 2009-01-22 03:35: I had written very long posts as the utter astonishment & sheer dismay I felt at this-- how do attacks on other bloggers like this even get posted!!?? They included the color issues that still hound the desi community that we must all work out. Strangely, the comments were not posted.
Pinkvilla appears a rather forum to support their own stars based on the # of posts: Pinkvilla's ID even has fans listed for the Bollywood elites-- and they do not appear to like outsiders like Freida who are rising in terms of style.
Therefore, I used it as a positive forum to praise Freida and attacked by ballistic people saying she was a non-entity & Freida priasers was this/that, etc.. So are "big stars" entities and ordinary folks non-entities?
Everyone is special- that is the point of SM.

wow..the comment below proves the point that Slumdog Millionaire is about hope of the underdog. The senseless class-based lashing out won't stop the joy of its success or praise for Frieda and Dev and all the actors of the film.
so glad a dusky indian look was chosen for Lalita. She looks Indian and not western, frankly. I thought she was utterly gorgeous well well before she was a hit in HOllywood or the film was a hit. Frankly, the unsung beauties of India are all in the villages to the towns.. without a care. It's the inner beauty that shines out.
