Best Actress of 2008 - Priyanka Chopra in Fashion - The Golden Girl
Who do you think is this year’s best actress...even though there were a few actresses who showed brilliant acting skills….I think priyanka chopra really showed her acting skills… With flops Drona, Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho and Chamku….. Priyanka finally gave a mind-blowing film Fashion with her small town girl act. Also Dostana was a hit bt fashion was awesme…...not only her acting but the emtions present in her role was to good.

I think Aishwarya for Jodhaa Akbar but Priyanka was equally good and since Ash previously got many awards and Priyanka didn't get a single best actress award, the jury was fair giving PC the award.
But somehow this year, the tables have turned. Ash has been consistent with wonderful performances in movies like Raavan/Raavanan, Guzaarish and Endhiran. While for Priyanka it has been a disastrous 2010 - Pyaar Impossible and Anjaana Anjaani - two flops!

I am not a fan of priyanka, but I admire the kind of work she did this year. But I don't think she did anything special in fashion. Kongana did better than her in the movie. I think the award should go to kajol. She is an amazing actress compared to priyanka. Priyanka is not really a great actress. I loved kajol in U Me UR hum. haven't seen Aish JA, so can't judge her on that, but she probably did well because she is also a good actress not as good as kajol but I think better she is better than priyanka.

No not Kangana. She was too melodramatic. The 3rd actress, sorry can't remember her name was the most natural and real.
IMO, Priyanka is just not a very good actress. She's adequate but she hardly registers when she's onscreen.

i really think priyanka deserves it, however I think Aishwarya will walk away with the title becuase lets face it, its a biased jury most of the times and due to the huge comericial success of JA Aishwarya will get it soley due to biased judgements and commercial success!! Don't get me wrong I loved Aishwarya in JA I thought she did extemly well but I do feel Priyanka performance in fashion was outstanding,a very honest performance!! not a huge fan of hers but hats of to the lady!!
