In the latest episode of Jodha Akbar, we saw a slightly younger Salim enjoying his growing-up years in the secure walls of his palace.
It can be seen that Salim is imbibing his mother’s traits of kindness and mercy for all. As Salim rescues a pigeon hunted by Begum Salima’s second son, Muraad, he finds himself at loggerheads with his cousin over humanitarian issues.
While Murad claims his right on the injured pigeon as he was the one who fired at him in the first place, Salim takes a stand in favour of the pigeon and refuses to handover the hurt bird to Murad.
