A symbol of old school Bollywood glamour and power, the late Rajesh Khanna's 'Aashirwad' bungalow on Mumbai's Carter road, was reportedly brought by Shashi Shetty, a businessman and construction magnate.
Now, the deal has been finally sealed, and sources say the amount paid to Khanna's children is 90 crores. The process of vacating the bungalow has begun tonight, as in Thursday night, and possession will be handed over by tomorrow afternoon.
Twinkle Khanna, Dimple Kapadia and Rinke Khanne were present during the signing and hand over process of the bungalow.
Anita Advani, Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna's companion during his last years, heaves a sigh of relief and says she is thankful to the judicial system.
The Bombay High Court Wednesday ordered that Anita can be given a copy of Rajesh Khanna's will, whose veracity she has disputed.
"I am extremely thankful to the judicial system. I am grateful to them. This is the third time I have won the case. I got this news yesterday (Wednesday) and I am extremely happy. Let me get the will, then I will think what to do next," Anita told IANS.
Late superstar Rajesh Khanna's bungalow, Vardan Aashirwad, on the upscale Carter Road, in suburban Mumbai, has been sold at a price of Rs.90 crore to industrialist Shashi Kiran Shetty.
The sole owners of the property were daughters of the deceased actor, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna.

Legendary actor Rajesh Khanna's statue was unveiled in Mumbai today. The statue will be installed at the ‘Walk of the Stars’ at Bandra Bandstand Promenade by UTV Stars. The statue shows the actor carrying two balloons in his right hand which happens to be one of his iconic poses from his film Anand.
Those present at the event were Akshay Kumar, Dimple Kapadia, Twinkle Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Rakesh Roshan, Hema Malini and many others!
India's 3rd highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, will be presented to the late Rajesh Khanna posthumously and Sharmila Tagore. Rajesh Khanna passed away in July last year and is widely regarded as the first or original superstar of Indian cinema with a record of 15 consecutive hit films in his career which remains unbroken to this day. Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore starred in several hit films: Amar Prem, Aradhana and Daag: A Poem Of Love are a few such films that come to mind.
