Parineeti Chopra is all set to host the Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) awards ceremony to be held on October 1, 2012. News has it that she will also be joined by a surprise co-host at the show. Here are pictures from the press meet for the event.

Parineeti Chopra debuted with a small role in 'Ladies V/Ricky Bal' and went on to bag the main lead in 'Ishaqzaade'. She earned good reviews in both these movies. It is thus surprising that she has currently no takers!
As per Mid-day reports, she had a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films. That means one film is still pending. However, we have not yet heard any announcements on this yet.

The third year of Shabana Azmi’s NGO, Mijwan Welfare Society, hosted a fashion show, Mijwan Sonnets in Fabric 2012 on 3rd September at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The highlight was Mijwan’s female population had their craftsmanship showcased on ramp, by leading models and celebrities, through Manish Malhotra’s designs. The 2012 edition of the show showcased embroidery done entirely by the girls of Mijwan. Manish has translated work done by Mijwan girls into contemporary modern designs.
