2012 has been an awesome-wawsome year for the movies. While there have been a bunch of blockbusters, not all these money-making machines were strong in terms of content. Here are the films that were not only truly fabulous scripts but also boasted of beautiful stories and spectacular performances. They triumphed everywhere and even made India proud at the international film festivals. And the fact that besides tremendous critical acclaim, these films also set the box-office on fire proves that content was truly the star in 2012.

The first six months have been a superhit first half for Bollywood,with three films crossing the 100 cr mark(Rowdy Rathore,Housefull 2 & Agneepath)and a number of small budget,indie films with different subject like Vicky Donor,Paan Singh Tomar & especially Kahaani jitting the bull's eye at the box office.
