Based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, this is a magical adventure story centering on Pi Patel, the precocious son of a zoo keeper. Dwellers in Pondicherry, India, the family decides to move to Canada, hitching a ride on a huge freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi finds himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival.

Early Filmfare Predictions!

Early Filmfare Predictions!

The Filmfare nominations won’t be announced until January 2013, but people are already buzzing about who will make the cut. Of course many of the films that will vie for the prize have not yet been released so trying to figure out which films and performances will be recognized by the audience and jury at this point is probably the height of lunacy.
Still, I can’t resist speculating on the acting nominees and which 6 films will be up for Best Film. Check out my predictions below and let me know if you think I’m completely nuts.
