After getting stuck at the Moscow airport for nine hours, Bigg Boss 12 contestant Karanvir Bohra gets issued a temporary passport, thanks Sushma Swaraj.

Yesterday, Bigg Boss 12 contestant Karanvir Bohra was detained at the Moscow airport due to passport damage and as a result, the authorities in Russia were planning to deport him. Later, Karanvir shared his anguish on social media to announce that he was detained at the airport as he wrote, “so bummed... waiting at  #moscowairport coz my passport is a little damaged. They contemplating to deport me back to India. @IndEmbMoscowRus @IndEmbMoscow i wished you would have told me that prior to issuing me the visa. feeling bad for.”  

Soon after, KV, as he is fondly called by his friends, received a lot of support from his industry friends and everyone requested the Indian Embassy to help him out. And finally, after 9 hours, Karanvir Bohra got issued a temporary passport. That’s right! A rather happy Karanvir Bohra took to Instagram and posted a video announcing that he has been issued a temporary passport and thanked Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj for all the help. Alongside the video, Karanvir wrote, “I have no words to thank the  @IndEmbMoscow 4 helping me get a brand new temporary passport and a visa.celebrity or no celebrity,  i know one thing for sure, we Indians are in very safe hands when we travel abroad... thanks to @SushmaSwaraj and the #IndianEmbassy for their help.” Karanvir’s wife, Teejay Sidhu, too, took to Twitter and sought the help of the authorities as she wrote, “Indian authorities need to resolve these legal issues before a citizen to leaves India. Other countries are often strict with security protocols. What is one supposed to do after landing in a foreign country?”

Now that Karanvir has finally reached Moscow, the actor is back to business as he had jetted off to Moscow to attend the MacCoffee Bollywood Film Festival. Recently, Karanvir, along with wifey Teejay had visited the holy shrine of Ajmer Sharif Dargah and later, had gone to Jaipur to celebrate Teejay’s birthday in Jaipur.
