Indian television is full of reality shows where people with different talents come to take a chance at making it big. From singing reality shows to dancing ones, every show has its own journey and is either loved or not liked by viewers. One of the recent singing reality shows, The Voice on Star Plus opened with a huge bang and had ace music composer, AR Rahman as the super guru apart from Armaan Malik, Kanika Kapoor, Harshdeep Kaur and Adnan Sami who were the judges. Also, TV’s favourite bahu, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya was hosting the show.

While this was uncharted territory for Divyanka, she took on the challenge and was loved. Her impeccable styling and her charismatic charm won over the viewers as well the judges. While the show didn’t get great TRP’s and AR Rahman also left after the initial episodes, Divyanka shared what she took from the whole experience of hosting a reality show. In an interview with IWM Buzz, Divyanka mentioned that hosting the show was a great experience for her and TRP’s don’t concern her.

Divyanka said, “I never look at TRPs of any show I do. That’s the channel’s prerogative, especially because no actor/anchor/jury can help in such a scenario. My focus is always on my output and the reactions I get from the viewers, which was extraordinary. There was a new kind of audience popping up and liking my work in The Voice. It was a beautiful journey that we’ll. cherish and will miss each other.”

While Divyanka’s chirpy avatar was loved on show, due to her date issues, she had to take a break from the show and Karan Wahi took her place for a few episodes. During those episodes, the audiences and judges missed Divyanka a lot. Divyanka and Karan have shot for the finale episode which will be aired this weekend. On the professional front, Divyanka is also seen in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. She will soon be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s web series Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala with Rajeev Khandelwal. The show revolves around two chefs who fall in love.
