Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fans have been left delighted ever since Shivangi Joshi shared a glimpse of the upcoming reunion between their favourite pair KaiRa (Kartik played by Mohsin Khan). The major catalyst in their reunion has been Mansi's character which was played by the extremely pretty Vaishnavi Rao. New to the Rishta team, Vaishnavi has managed to create some really sweet bond with the team. In a candid chat with Pinkvilla, she opened up about playing Mansi, what according to her makes KaiRa a popular pair and her camaraderie with both Mohsin and Shivangi.
About being associated with the show, Vaishnavi said, "It has been extremely overwhelming, in a good way. I have been very lucky because Rishta has given me so much love from the audience that pretty much no other show that I have done to date has given me. People have started to recognise me on roads as Mansi and it is so touching to see people give so much love to this character."
Mohsin and Shivangi are known to share a good camaraderie with their colleagues. Reiterating the same, Mansi informed, "Mohsin Bhai and Shivangi are an absolute delight to work with. Shivangi and I are almost the same age and I have a very very cute relationship with her where we are always laughing and joking around each other. In fact, we have been making quite a lot of musical.ly lately which are going viral on the internet. We share a very good chemistry. Mohsin Bhai and I have a nice relationship too. I don't have a real brother so everytime I end up getting really close to my onscreen brothers than other people on sets. Mohsin Bhai is very nice, genuine and very respectful. My first scene was with him and he made me feel comfortable. He is extremely humble and down to earth and people are absolutely loving our sibling bond onscreen."
KaiRa is undoubtedly a pair loved by the fans. What according to Rao makes them this popular, she stated, "Kaira is definitely the most popular and one of my favourite onscreen couples. Their chemistry is electrifying especially when they are dancing. They are an amazing couple and are so supportive of each other. Especially, Shivangi who is a brilliant dancer. She really supports Mohsin so well when they are dancing. They are such an amazing couple onscreen and share a very cute chemistry. I am very fond of them personally."
On playing Mansi, she added, "I was quite nervous initially because the cast and the crew have been working together for so long and to suddenly come and work with them, it felt scary. Now, I have become good friends with most of them. I share a great bond with everyone. Mansi is a very important character, especially, when I had entered. She shares a very good bond with both Kartik and Naira and tried really hard to bring them together. It is because of her wedding that they meet more often. So, I think Mansi had a very important part to play in that especially in getting them face-to-face."
Lastly, she spoke about her journey on TV and stressed, "My journey on TV has been such a roller coaster. I started when I was 7-year-old and then I took a gap for education and then did a diploma in forensic psychology and later returned to the TV. In between, I also did ads, web and short film. It was all different. I have learnt so much during the process and wish to learn more and more."
Rao has been a part of shows like Bhagyavidhata, Dill Mill Gayye, Shh... Phir Koi Hai, Beyhadh and Rishton Ka Chakravyuh among others.
