Archana Puran Singh was recently confirmed by Sony TV as Navjot Singh Sidhu's replacement for ace comedian Kapil Sharma's show. The channel also shared a video clip of Archana taking Sidhu's seat on its Twitter handle which further confirmed the news. Sidhu's sacking came in the wake of the horrific Pulwama terror attack and his comments on the incident. He was condemned for his statement when he said, "For a 'handful of people', can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished."

Now, Archana has begun shooting for The Kapil Sharma Show and took to Instagram to share a picture from the sets of the show. Posing with the 'laughter king' Kapil Sharma, Archana wrote, "On the set right now with Kapil ! Old associations renewed with the fun gang... taking a selfie break with the laughter king @kapilsharma"

Check out the picture from their 'selfie break'.

Netizens came together to demand the sacking of Navjot Singh Sidhu after his comments were widely circulated and were considered insensitive and in poor light. On Twitter, a trend to boycott Kapil Sharma's comedy show began soon after Sidhu's comments regarding the attack surfaced on social media.

Regarding Sidhu's sacking, a source earlier informed Pinkvilla, the channel is now mulling over the remaining episodes that they have already shot with the former cricketer and celebrity judge.

Great now that Sidhu has been sacked the terrorist attacks should stop and all the needs of the martyred soldiers families will be fulfilled. we know in India only the celebrities and entertainment industry run the country not the government or the military, what rubbish!!! because it seems like people are so far removed from reality it's unbelievable. How come only the celebrities can donate yet the common man cannot even spare 20 to 50 rupees for these families however can spend thousands of rupees for their entertainment
