On February 14, 2019, the Central Reserve Police Force personnel on their way to deployment were attacked by a car carrying explosives in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives and many were injured in the attack. The security forces in an encounter have reportedly killed the mastermind behind the attacks. Amidst this, Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu made a statement which did not go down well with the audience.

Following the uproar on social media, Sony TV had to ask Navjot to leave the show. When Kapil was asked to react on the same, he said that while he supports the government, he doesn't support the exit of Navjot as he doesn't think that is the solution for it. "Hum insab cheezon mein sarkar ke saath hain lekin phir bhi ek sthai samaadhan ki zarurat hai. Pulwama mein jin logo ne kayrana tareeke se humaare jawaano ko shahid kiya unko dhundh dhundh kar marna chahiye jismein pura desh sarkar ke saath khada hai," he said.

Following this, Twitter has been erupting in anger yet again, but this time against Kapil sharma by asking the audiences to unfollow Sony TV and unsubscribe the channel and while doing so BOYCOTT Kapil Sharma and his show. We reached out to the comedian for his reaction on the trend but are yet to receive any revert.

Glad he has a good friend.

I think this is true in all countries if politicians were required to have one close family member in the military a lot of them will have vested interest in keeping the populace of the country safe , that is a lot more viable solution than boycotting Kapil Sharma

People should boycott the government for failing its intelligence not the actors..this is just an agenda to distract the attention from the government failure .
