Karan Wahi is an Indian actor, model, and television host who is known for acting in films, web series, music videos, and television serials. Karan was born in New Delhi, India on 9th June 1986 to a Punjabi father Arun Wahi, and a Kashmiri mother. He has one sister. He did his schooling at St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School and completed his higher education at the IILM Institute. Karan was also a cricketer. During school days, he used to play for his school team. In 2003, he was elected to the Under-19 cricket team for Delhi. But, after a major injury, he had to leave the sport and enrolled in a marketing course to join his father’s business. He started his acting career with the television series Remix in 2004. After that, he acted in several television serials, such as Kasamh Se, Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari, Kuch To Log Kahenge, Dill Mill Gayye, Teri Meri Love Stories, Shraddha, etc. He made his Bollywood debut with the movie Daawat-e-Ishq in 2014. He was also seen in Hate Story 4 and in other films. Karan has been the host of various events, reality shows, and awards show including Indian Telly Awards and Star Guild Awards, 5th Zee Gold Awards. He also participated in several reality shows, such as Mr. & Ms. TV, Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, Box Cricket League 1, 2, 3, 4, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India, etc. He was also seen in several web series including Sacred Games, and also he was seen in two music videos. Apart from acting Karan is known for various other reasons. In 2013, he ranked 46th in the UK newspaper Eastern Eye’s “Sexiest Asian Man on the Planet.” He was also ranked consecutively 9th, 13th, and 15th in Times of India’s Top 20 Most Desirable Men on Indian Television in the year 2018, 2019, and 2020. He also supported various charitable organizations. He also won several awards for his acting.
