- Biography: Shilpa Shetty, born on 8 June 1975 in Mangalore, is the daughter of Surendra and Sunanda Shetty. Shilpa is the elder sister of actor Shamita Shetty and in 1991, after completing her tenth grade; Shilpa Shetty pursued her modeling career and featured in several commercials. In 1993, Shetty made her debut with the thriller Baazigar and won accolades and nominations for her performance. Besides acting, Shilpa Shetty has served as a judge on various reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, and Super Dancer. After a series of successful movies, Shilpa Shetty earned global recognition with her stint in the British reality show, Celebrity Big Brother 5, which she later won, despite facing racism on the show. In 2009, Shilpa Shetty married Raj Kundra and in 2012, the couple had a son. Actor, entrepreneur and author, Shilpa Shetty is all about fitness. Known for her fitness, Shilpa Shetty launched her Yoga DVD in 2015 and penned a book ‘The Great Indian Diet’ co-authored by fitness expert Luke Coutinho.
