Saiyaara, the Bollywood romance film that managed to surprise viewers and makers alike, became a breakthrough debut for its stars, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The two young stars hit the ground running with their first project, and the former recently revealed just how unexpected the success was to all of them. Sharing that the two would head out to various places to worship different deities, the actors wanted not success but for their film to break even.

In a conversation with Filmfare, Ahaan Panday shared his and Aneet Padda’s disbelief over the film’s success at the theaters, “When the film was released, we were in shock. We hadn’t expected any of it. I remember taking her to different places of worship, just praying, not for a hit but simply that the film would recover its cost so we could keep getting work and continue doing what we love.”
Witnessing hordes of people gathering outside cinema halls to catch a show of their project, the 28-year-old called up director Mohit Suri, asking if it was real. They had become stars, and Ahaan Panday as well as Aneet Padda could not have imagined it. The actor also shed light on their strong bond, revealing how the actress taught him a lot about life, leading him to call her ‘senior,’ despite being 5 years younger than him in real life.
The duo is all set to reunite with the filmmaker for another movie, an announcement that has left their fans reeling with excitement. Backed by Yash Raj Films (YRF), the romantic drama is said to be aiming for a late 2026 start of filming with an alleged aim of a 2027 release. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are reuniting with director Mohit Suri, hoping to recreate the magic of Saiyaara from 2025.
