Akshay Kumar ‘had 103-104 fever’: Akshara Singh recalls working with Welcome To The Jungle star

Akshay Kumar’s latest gig, Welcome To The Jungle, has finally hit cinemas. While the movie is with the audience to review, his co-star, Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh, recalled working with Khiladi Kumar in the song Ghis Ghis Ghis. Recently, Bhojpuri sensation Akshara Singh took a trip down memory lane, sharing a striking anecdote about Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar. In the recently released film Welcome To The Jungle, Singh made a special appearance in the song Ghis Ghis Ghis. She can be seen performing some well-choreographed moves in the funny track with Kumar.
Lauding Akki’s commitment and dedication to his craft, she recalled how he was with a severe viral infection and had a 104-degree fever.
“The biggest thing was that he had a fever of 103-104 degrees while shooting. I kept observing him and realised how much he loves his work and his craft. He works with a great sense of responsibility and dedication,” she said.
Despite the physical toll, Akshay refused to let the production suffer. Akshara recounted how the Khiladi star refused to rush to his vanity van for extended rest, choosing to push through the sickness.
The moment the director called action, Akshay completely transformed, masking his physical discomfort with his trademark energy and radiant smile.
For Akshara, who has carved out a massive niche for herself as one of the highest-paid actresses in Bhojpuri cinema, working with the Sky Force actor was like a dream-come-true moment.
Sharing how she bagged the track in Ahmed Khan’s comic caper, Akshara told the publication, “I received a call from Ahmed Sir's production house. I was told there's a song in Welcome To The Jungle and that I had to do it.”
At first, she hesitated. However, when she received a call from ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya, he felt reassured. “He asked me if I would do the song. I asked what kind of song it was, and he said it's a wonderful track and that I would really like it. He encouraged me to do it. And the moment I heard Ganesh sir and Akshay sir's name, I was completely blank,” the actress spilled.
The action-comedy film also stars Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, and Jackie Shroff.
