Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma, who have reportedly been dating since 2022, have chosen to keep their wedding celebrations deeply personal. Rather than opting for a conventional, grand wedding with traditional pheras, the couple decided on a simple registered marriage at the Ranjan residence on July 11, 2026, surrounded only by their closest family and friends.
While the legal ceremony was kept intimate, the couple is set to follow up the nuptials with a grand reception on July 12, 2026, at the JW Marriott in Juhu, Mumbai.
The upcoming event is expected to be a star-studded affair, with various prominent figures from the film industry, including Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, Kiara Advani, and Karan Johar, likely in attendance.
Akansha is known for her work on projects like Monica, O My Darling, Guilty, Ray, Gram Chikitsalay, Ikka, and more. Her husband-to-be, Sharan Sharma, is the director behind films such as Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. They have largely maintained a low profile regarding their relationship over the years.
