Alia Bhatt reviews Daadi Ki Shaadi

Bollywood’s powerhouse, Alia Bhatt, took to social media today to pen a glowing review for Daadi Ki Shaadi. The film, which marks the much-anticipated acting debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni alongside her legendary mother Neetu Kapoor, has officially become a family favorite.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Alia shared a still from the film and didn’t hold back on the praise. The National Award-winning actress wrote, “Left with a warm smile on my face. Twists, turns, and non-stop laughter… woven into a story with so much heart, and the awkward, hilarious, loveable chaos that families are made of. @neetu54 @riddhimakapoorsahniofficial both of you light up the screen.”

Daadi Ki Shaadi is a heartwarming dramedy that explores the chaos, comedy, and emotional layers of a grandmother (played by Neetu) deciding to find love again and get remarried. Riddhima plays the role of the sceptical yet eventually supportive daughter, a dynamic that fans are calling relatable and refreshingly honest.

Industry insiders suggest that the chemistry between the real-life mother-daughter duo is the soul of the film. Neetu Kapoor, who has had a stellar second innings with films like JugJugg Jeeyo, proves once again that her charm is timeless.

Alia isn't the only one cheering. The film has sparked a wave of support. A special, star-studded screening was hosted by the film’s makers. It was attended by several members of the film fraternity, including Aamir Khan, who heaped praise on Riddhima.

After the screening, Aamir Khan interacted with the paparazzi and said, “This is Riddhima’s first film, and she has done a fantastic job. She was even better than Ranbir Kapoor. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My best wishes to the entire team, well done, guys.”
