The wait is officially over for action lovers. Yash Raj Films has finally dropped the highly anticipated first teaser for Alpha. Helmed by The Railway Men director Shiv Rawail, this film marks a milestone in the YRF Spy Universe, standing as the franchise's very first female-led action entertainer. Check it out!

The teaser of Alia Bhatt-helmed Alpha introduces a gritty, thrilling, and deadly underworld, promising a high-stakes cinematic ride. The 1-minute 55-second clip opens on a sweet note. Initially, it showcases a father and his daughter dining at a restaurant.
Bobby Deol plays the mentor and father figure to Sita, played by Alia. She is initially thrilled that her ‘Baba’ (Bobby Deol) made the effort to celebrate her 18th birthday. However, the warm atmosphere quickly turns grim. The father then informs her that she is going on her first mission on her milestone birthday. Deol presents her with a secret code to a room instead of a traditional present.

The teenager is heartbroken, realizing her birthday dinner was merely a backdrop for an assignment. At the dinner table, her father reminds her of what she has been built for since early childhood. He sets the bar for her transformation into India’s fastest, sharpest, and strongest next-generation soldier.
In the teaser, she is reminded that her father is a wolf and that ‘a wolf's daughter will be a wolf.’ The remaining glimpses of the teaser take the audience directly into her intense, risky mission. Sporting an Alpha tattoo marked on her forearm, Alia is seen completely tapping into wolf mode.
Welcoming cinema goers into the newest chapter of the YRF Spy Universe, the makers wrote in the teaser caption, “Alpha is a female-led action film that will take you on a fun, edge-of-the-seat, thrilling ride that is designed as an out-and-out entertainer.” The film presents an “edgy origin story of a girl raised and built to kill.”
While the teaser highlights the gripping dynamic between Alia Bhatt and a menacing Bobby Deol, the film features a powerhouse ensemble. It stars Sharvari Wagh in a parallel lead role alongside Alia. The two women are forced to join forces and confront a ruthless enemy. The film also features crucial appearances by Anil Kapoor.
Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shiv Rawail, the action-thriller is officially scheduled to hit theatres next month, on July 3, 2026.
