Bandar follows Samar Mehra, a 50-year-old former television and pop star struggling with a fading career. After a messy breakup with his former girlfriend Gayatri, Samar faces a serious allegation against him. He maintains that he is innocent, but the case quickly attracts media attention and turns public opinion against him.
Samar eventually struggles with the harsh conditions and hostility from fellow inmates. As his time continues, his focus shifts from clearing his name to simply surviving. The experience gradually strips away his celebrity persona and takes a lasting toll on him.
The film ends ambiguously, leaving the truth surrounding the case unresolved while highlighting the profound impact of his experience.

Bandar stars Bobby Deol in the lead role, with Sanya Malhotra, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Indrajith Sukumaran, Raj B. Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Nagesh Bhonsle, Riddhi Sen, Nikhat Khan, and many others in key roles.
Co-produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film has Sakshi Mehta as the co-director. Written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the movie is also co-produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, Shivie Pandit, and Gaurie Pandit.
The film’s songs are composed by Amit Trivedi, Vishal Mishra, Sapan-Jagmohan, Payal Dev-Aditya Dev, Sickflip, Blurface, and Shivahari Varma. The background score is also composed by Shivahari Varma. Saiyed Shaaz Rizvi has handled the cinematography, while Aarti Bajaj serves as the editor.
