Bobby Deol on working with Alia Bhatt in Alpha: ‘Its amazing, we are making action film in India featuring two girls’
Actor Bobby Deol opened up about working with Alia Bhatt in the upcoming action film Alpha.
Bobby Deol has opened up about his experience of working on Alpha, calling it one of the most refreshing action films to come out of India. Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the film is an origin story centered around a professional who is trained to execute. Bobby, who plays a key role in the film, said he thoroughly enjoyed being part of the ambitious project.

Speaking about collaborating with Alia for the first time, Bobby said, “I’m very fond of Ranbir and Alia, and I always wanted to work with both of them. With Ranbir, I did Animal, and now with Alia, I have now done Alpha. I had the best time working with both of them. It is quite amazing that we are making an action film in India, like Alpha, featuring two girls doing action on screen. I like Alpha a lot because it is new, it is refreshing, and a new visual for the audience to watch in theatres.”
Bobby also praised Alia Bhatt’s commitment towards performing intense action sequences in the film. According to the actor, Alia came fully prepared for every scene.
“Alia is one of the most hardworking and sincere actors I’ve worked with. She comes to the set completely prepared, deeply invested in every scene. She has never done this kind of action before, and I was amazed seeing how prepared she was for the shoot. I could see she was giving her all because action is hard to pull off, and she went for it,” says Bobby.
The actor further shared that producer Aditya Chopra and the director were determined to keep the action gritty and realistic throughout the film. He said, “Adi and the director Shiv Rawail had a clear vision that action should look real and raw. So, it was a tough shoot for both of us, and I’m glad we have a film that everyone should sit back, relax, and hopefully enjoy thoroughly.”
Alpha set for 2026 release
Alpha also stars Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role. The much-anticipated action entertainer is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on July 10, 2026.
