Bobby Deol shuts down fallout rumors with Alia Bhatt on Alpha sets: ‘I had just done a film with Ranbir Kapoor…’
Rumors suggested that Bobby Deol and Alia Bhatt were at loggerheads with each other on Alpha sets. Clearing the air, Bobby heaped praise on his co-star.
While Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol have been eagerly waiting for the release of their film Alpha, rumours of a tiff between them on the sets of their highly anticipated spy thriller have been doing the rounds. However, putting an end to all the whispers, Bobby has completely dismissed the gossip by stating, “I was shocked when a friend sent me a snapshot of this rumour.” Read on!
Bobby Deol clears the air on fallout with Alpha co-star Alia Bhatt
While appearing on Aap Ki Adalat, Bobby Deol cleared the air, exposing how baseless the internet rumors truly are. Addressing the viral rumors that things had gone south between him and his co-star Alia Bhatt, the Animal actor revealed he was completely shocked when a friend shared the news with him.
Bobby opined, “Even I was shocked when a friend sent me a snapshot of this rumour. Log itne velle hain ki kuch bhi likhke bana dete hain (People have so much free time that they make up and write anything).”
He further added, “I had just done a film with Ranbir Kapoor, and then I got to know I was being offered a film with Alia. I was like, 'What's happening with me?' Both of them are my favourite actors, and I am getting to work with them.”
He went on to praise Alia by sharing, “She was so prepared for all the fight sequences. So, I didn't get why people wrote that,” he added.
Bobby even laughed at the rumors that suggested he was displeased with producer Aditya Chopra for offering him an entirely different movie. “I can't go around proving a point to everybody. It's not true,” he added, pointing out that 90 percent of what people see on social media is completely fabricated.
For the unversed, Alpha marks the very first female-led spy thriller in Yash Raj Films’ YRF Spy Universe. The action spectacle features Alia and Sharvari in the lead roles, with Bobby stepping up to play the antagonist. Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor also features in a pivotal role. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is now releasing on July 3, 2026.
