Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor have returned with a summer anthem like no other. A new song from Cocktail 2 just dropped, and it’s already trending. The makers of the upcoming romantic saga, Maddock Films, have officially released their first big foot-tapping number, Mashooqa.

Packed with fun beats, flirtation, and carefree chemistry, the song captures the thrill of young love, spontaneous connection, and the kind of glamorous chaos that defines an unforgettable summer.

Shot against the breathtaking, sun-kissed backdrop of Italy, Mashooqa is all about high fashion, effortless flirtation, and mesmerising rhythm. Kriti Sanon completely owns the frame as the ultimate Mashooqa, serving jaw-dropping looks, one after the other.

With music by Universal Music, the song is composed by Pritam, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and sung by Raghav Chaitanya, Mahmood, and Ruaa Kayy. Its Italian parts are penned, co-composed, and performed by Mahmood.

In Mashooqa, Kriti Sanon looks stunningly glamorous throughout. Whether it’s her effortless styling, carefree energy or electric chemistry with Shahid Kapoor, the National Award-winning actress completely owns the vibe. Shahid matches her energy with equal ease, making the duo impossible to look away from together.

At the end of the song, the makers revealed that the film’s trailer will be released on May 29, 2026. Speaking about the song, Shahid Kapoor shared, “Mashooqa has a vibe that pulls you in instantly. Kriti and I genuinely had such a blast shooting this one because it doesn’t take itself too seriously.”

Sanon added, “Shahid and I were just being our goofy selves and having a blast. I feel audiences are really going to enjoy this one because it has a very fresh sound and energy.”

On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna has sparked fresh speculation online after fans noticed what appeared to be a brief glimpse of ‘Tujhko’, her upcoming romantic track with Shahid Kapoor, in a recent social media update. While there has been no official confirmation, fans were quick to spot the detail, with many convinced that the actress subtly teased the song ahead of its release.

What makes the moment even more intriguing is that it comes shortly after Rashmika’s reaction to Cocktail 2’s Sunday night event, where she jokingly referred to the voting as “rigged.”

At the same time, the actress had urged audiences to reserve their judgment until Tujhko releases, hinting that the song still carries an element of surprise. Now, as fans continue debating whether Rashmika is genuinely jealous or simply disappointed by the situation, many believe she may have intentionally dropped a sneak peek of Tujhko.

Directed by Homi Adajania and penned by Luv Ranjan, Cocktail 2 is a spiritual sequel to Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty’s Cocktail. The upcoming film features an explosive lead trio including Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna. Produced by Maddock Films and Luv Films, it will be released in cinemas worldwide on June 19, 2026.
