Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt’s recent marriage stood out for how intimate and personal it was. Held at the actor’s Bandra residence on July 5, 2026, the ceremony was a quiet affair attended only by close family and friends. Yet, amidst the understated elegance of the occasion, one detail has captured the public's imagination, and that’s Gauri Spratt’s bespoke wedding ring gifted by Khan.

Moving away from the traditional diamond solitaire, Aamir Khan opted for a piece of deep, symbolic significance. Crafted by the luxury jewellery brand QWEEN, the rare ruby ring is a masterclass in patience and artistry.

The centrepiece of the ring gifted to his wife, Gauri Spratt, is a natural, cabochon-cut ruby sourced from Madagascar. While speaking to Hindustan Times, the co-founder of the jewellery brand shared that finding a stone of this caliber was a journey in itself, taking over three months of searching.

He added, “This is a Madagascar ruby, which is rarer than 1 in a million. The wedding ring is designed to look, quite literally, like royalty.”

From initial design development to the final setting and finishing, the ring required over 256 hours of meticulous work. The creation process involved 131 skilled artisans, each contributing to the intricate detailing that gives the piece its heirloom quality.

The ring’s design breaks from the conventions of modern bridal jewellery. Instead of a standard prong setting on a plain band, the ruby is in a gold crown-inspired setting. The setting features scalloped gold peaks that rise around the stone, mimicking a royal crown.

The aesthetic is finished with delicate milgrain beading and a bombé signet profile, giving the ring a weighty, vintage appearance designed to be passed down through generations. Additionally, the mount is embellished with multiple natural diamonds, further accentuating the rich, oxblood hue of the central ruby.

This isn’t the first time the Ek Din producer gifted a rare piece of jewellery to Gauri. Earlier, on their alleged engagement, he presented a rare Brazilian aquamarine ring to his now-wife.
