Like many others, popular Punjabi actor-singer Ammy Virk also thinks that their baby girl brought him luck.
Ranveer Singh’s daughter brought him luck
Ammy Virk recently opened up about his close bond with his ’83 co-star Ranveer Singh. In an interview with Connect Cine, the Punjabi actor-singer shared a heartwarming glimpse into the Bollywood actor’s life during a crucial career point.
According to Virk, the massive box office success of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar franchise is closely tied to the birth of Ranveer and Deepika Padukone's daughter, Dua.
Before Dhurandhar shattered box office records, Singh was navigating a string of professional setbacks. The action franchise was a high-stakes gamble where Ranveer poured it all.
Virk recalled the emotional exchange he had with Ranveer right after the trailer of the first film dropped, just after baby Dua was born in September 2024. “I congratulated him after Dhurandhar’s trailer came out. His daughter was born by then. He sent me a long message in English. He told me that ‘I have invested everything in this film.’ I told him to wait and see, and said that his daughter had brought him good luck and God was going to be kind. And that's what happened. His daughter brought him such good luck,” Ammy shared.
The positive effect didn't stop at the first installment. Dhurandhar: The Revenge also took the box office by storm. In another conversation, the Khel Khel Mein actor reminded his friend of the divine timing of all that’s happening in his life.
“I told him, ‘See, your daughter brought such good luck.’ Kids come with their own fortune. The second film also did well. He was so happy,” shared the Punjabi star, adding that he is proud that India’s most successful franchise has his pal in it.
