Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra breathed his last earlier last month, just short of ringing in his 90th birthday. After being admitted for reported breathlessness, he was brought back home to recuperate and then passed away while being surrounded by family. After a same day funeral followed by a couple of prayer meets arranged by his loved ones, his kids are slowly returning to work. Previously, Sunny Deol was seen attending the teaser launch of Border 2 alongside Ahan Shetty and Varun Dhawan. Now, daughter Esha Deol has shared her decision to slowly get back to work despite wanting to mourn longer.

Taking to her Instagram handle to share an update with her followers on December 19, the actress wrote, “I had kept a few work commitments on hold for a long time which I would be posting & sharing with you all now in the coming days. Please understand me as a human & most importantly as a daughter who is still grieving the loss of her most loving precious father. A loss I would never get over.”

Esha expressed her reluctance to get back to working mode amid the wound of her father’s demise being fresh, but emphasized her responsibilities, “If I had things my way I would wish to not be on this platform for sometime and just take a break. But I can't do that. So try & be kind and understanding. Thank you for the love & support always. Love you all.”

The 44-year-old seems to have shared the note in order to ensure no one misunderstands her after she puts updates on her Instagram account related to her work. She has since posted brand content as well as shared the final trailer of Ikkis, uploaded by Abhishek Bachchan, for the upcoming film that is Dharmendra’s last project before his passing. It also marks actor Asrani’s posthumous release.

Previously, son Sunny Deol got emotional reciting his lines at the Border 2 trailer launch, which was his first work-related appearance since their father’s demise.
