Fact Check: Is Hrithik Roshan collaborating with Parasuram Petla? Here’s what we know
Hrithik Roshan and Hombale Films are said to be joining hands for a film with director Parasuram helming it. However, here’s the truth.
Hrithik Roshan and Hombale Films, the production house behind the KGF franchise, are set to collaborate on a new project, tentatively titled HrithikXHombale. While recent reports suggested that Geetha Govindam director Parasuram Petla would helm the film, a new update indicates otherwise.
Is Hrithik Roshan working with Parasuram?
According to Lets Cinema, the reports linking Hrithik Roshan with director Parasuram Petla are unfounded. The publication states that the production house has denied the speculation, putting an end to the ongoing buzz surrounding the rumored collaboration.
The HrithikXHombale project was officially announced earlier in 2025. However, the makers have not shared any further updates since the announcement.
Hrithik Roshan’s work front
Hrithik Roshan was last seen in the lead role in the spy action film War 2, alongside Jr NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film follows Kabir Dhaliwal, a former RAW agent who goes rogue and emerges as a major threat, prompting special operations officer Vikram Chelapathi to track him down. The film serves as the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe and a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War.
Apart from Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, the film also stars Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, Anil Kapoor, Varun Badola, KC Shankar, Arista Mehta, and others in key roles.
More recently, Hrithik reprised his role as Kabir in Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the action thriller follows a highly trained operative who uncovers long-buried secrets about her past and joins forces with her sister on a dangerous mission.
Hrithik Roshan is also expected to make a special appearance in Rajinikanth's Jailer 2. According to reports, the cameo was initially offered to Shah Rukh Khan, who was unable to take up the role due to his commitments to King.
Jailer 2 is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on October 15, 2026, with Hrithik reportedly set to portray a larger-than-life character. Apart from Hrithik, actors like Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vijay Sethupathi are also expected to make cameo appearances.
