Fact Check: Salman Khan is NOT making a cameo in Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty's Welcome To The Jungle
Contrary to online reports, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will not be making a cameo in Welcome To The Jungle.
The Ahmed Khan directorial, Welcome To The Jungle is all set for its theatrical release next week on June 26. The film features an ensemble cast of 34 actors led by Akshay Kumar, alongside Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, among others. However, recent speculation about Salman Khan making a surprise appearance in the film has grabbed attention online.
Salman Khan NOT making a cameo in Welcome To The Jungle
Despite chatter on social media, Salman Khan will not be appearing in Welcome To The Jungle. Pinkvilla has learned from source close to the development that the reports suggesting a cameo by the superstar are incorrect. According to the insider, "Salman is currently occupied with other professional commitments and does not feature in the upcoming comedy entertainer." They further clarified, "The ongoing speculation regarding his involvement is entirely false."
What led to the rumors of Salman Khan's cameo?
The buzz appears to have originated after actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek, who plays a role in the film, was spotted interacting with paparazzi on the sets of Laughter Chefs. As reported by an entertainment portal, during the interaction, Krushna was questioned about reports of Salman’s appearance in the movie, to which Krushna appeared to suggest that there could indeed be a surprise in store for audiences.
Salman Khan's work front
At present, Salman is busy shooting for director Vamshi Paidipally's action entertainer and is expected to begin work on the Raj and DK film by October 2026. Pinkvilla exclusively reported that Salman is in talks with Farhan Akhtar for a large-scale period drama. The proposed period film will be backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment and is likely to go on floors in the summer of 2027.
