Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) handle, Ameesha Patel didn't just drop a hint; she dropped a bombshell. In a series of spirited posts reflecting on her blockbuster career, she promised that the third instalment would be bigger, bolder, and ‘dhamakedaar.’
Ameesha expressed immense confidence in the franchise's legacy. She wrote, “GADAR 3 will come fr sure and JAB aayegi. Theatre mein hungama mach Jayega. With audiences love and gods blessings. 500 cr is just the minimum nos at the box office for a brand like GADAR and this time the scale and script willl be even bigger and dhamakedar . Be prepared.” (sic)

Patel is not the first person to break the reports on Gadar 3. While talking to Pinkvilla in 2024, the veteran filmmaker revealed, “Gadar 3 ki abhi tayariyan chal rahi hain, kahaani chal rahi hai (The preparations are in full swing, and we’re working on the script).”
The Gadar franchise isn't just a film series; it’s an emotion for the Indian masses. Back in 2001, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha started it all. Set against the backdrop of the partition, the love story of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and Sakina (Ameesha Patel) redefined the mass entertainer.
After a 22-year hiatus, the duo returned to the big screen during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Gadar 2 became a box-office phenomenon, proving the audience's love for this iconic pairing. After the success of Gadar 2, Ameesha was seen in films like Tauba Tera Jalwa and Mystery of the Tattoo.
As for Sunny Deol, the 68-year-old star was flooded with offers. After Jaat and Border 2, the audience is excited to see him in films like Lahore 1947, Ikka, and Ramayana Parts 1 and 2.
