After a brief technical delay, the highly anticipated trailer for Varun Dhawan’s upcoming romantic-comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, has officially dropped. Bringing back the classic 90s Bollywood comedy vibe, the trailer promises a complete laugh riot filled with romance, chaos, and a massive dose of entertainment.

Actor Varun Dhawan joined hands with his ace filmmaker father, David Dhawan, to serve the audience an epic comedy-romantic movie. Helmed by the king of comedy, this upcoming film marks fourth collaboration of the father-son duo after hits like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No. 1.
The 3-minute 15-second trailer opens with showcasing the love story and the wedding of Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur’s character, Jass and Bani. But the couple is in court, wanting to part ways because the guy loves his wife too much and wants a baby.
Cut to a party where he lies to Pooja Hegde’s Preet that he is ‘fully single’. Their romance in London hits a bump when Bani knocks on the door, informing Jass that she’s expecting their child. Preet, on the other hand, also comes bearing the same news. Now, Jass must navigate his chaotic double-trouble love life.

The trailer promises plenty of classic David Dhawan-style fast-paced dialogue and massive dance numbers, including a recreation of the iconic track Chunnari Chunnari. The film comes across as colorful and a perspective on modern relationships with an old-school comic twist.
Apart from Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, the film also features Rakesh Bedi, Chunky Panday, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Rajesh Kumar, and Ali Asgar in pivotal roles.
At the trailer launch event, David Ji got emotional talking about his son Varun.
