The devotional, romantic drama movie takes the audience through the life of Lord Krishna through the lens of the makers. The story of devotion, surrender, and love was released in cinemas on May 7, 2026.

The first reviews of Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart are out. Twitter (now X) has been buzzing with the opinions of cinema lovers who watched the film on 70 mm. Before you also enjoy the film on the big screen, check out these 11 fan reviews.
According to a cinema lover, “Seeing Lord Krishna’s story through #Satyabhama’s eyes is such a refreshing narrative choice. This perspective-driven storytelling is exactly what the genre needed. Siddharth Gupta is receiving huge praise.” Another one stated that if mythology is shown with sincerity, like Krishnavataram, people will automatically connect with it. “Such a beautiful portrayal #Krishna?” the fans added.
The film stars Siddharth Gupta as Krishna, Sushmitha Bhat as Radha, Sanskruti Jayana as Satyabhama, and Nivaashiyni Krishnan as Rukmini. Many believed that Gupta as Krishna is a perfectly cast choice for the film. “He absolutely hit it out of the park with this performance,” a fan suggested.
