Bollywood actress Mouni Roy has finally addressed the intense speculation surrounding her marriage to Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar. After days of rumors regarding a potential split, the Brahmastra fame took to social media asking people for privacy.

Rumors of trouble in paradise for Mouni Roy and her husband of four years, Suraj Nambiar, began circulating earlier this week when eagle-eyed fans noticed that the couple had reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. The speculation intensified when Suraj temporarily deactivated his account, leading to reports claiming a formal separation.

After watching her personal life become a spectacle for public consumption, the popular TV and film actress decided to break her silence. Choosing to address the "false narratives”, Mouni posted a brief but firm message on her Instagram stories. In her post, she expressed, “Humbly requesting all the media houses to not publish false narratives and give us space and privacy. Please.”

For the unversed, Mouni and Suraj met during New Year celebrations in Dubai in 2019. After privately handling a long-distance relationship, they tied the knot on January 27, 2022, at a star-studded affair in Goa. They also paid homage to their respective backgrounds by including traditions from their cultures in their wedding.

Beyond their personal bond, the couple also ventured into business together. They reportedly co-founded a global education platform and launched a restaurant in Mumbai.

On the work front, Mouni remains one of the busiest actors in the industry. Her 2026 calendar is packed with diverse projects. The 40-year-old actress is set to star in David Dhawan’s highly anticipated romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The movie, rumored to be the filmmaker's last film, also stars his son, Varun Dhawan, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. It is scheduled for release in cinemas on June 5, 2026.

Another project that left Roy’s fans excited is Madhur Bhandarkar’s gritty drama, The Wives, featuring an ensemble cast including Sonali Kulkarni and Regina Cassandra. According to a report by AsiaNetNews, her net worth is estimated to be around Rs 41 crore.
