Priyanka Chopra Jonas has finally become one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood, just like in Bollywood. After working with several biggies abroad, she is set to join hands with the diva, Angelina Jolie, for a project everyone’s excited for.
Speaking in an interview with Fortune India, the multi-talented global star spilled the beans on her future international lineup, sending fans into an absolute frenzy. While Priyanka was careful not to give away too much about her anticipated project with the Eternals actress, PC’s confirmation of a collab with Jolie marks one of the most anticipated cinematic crossovers.
In the same interview, the Bajirao Mastani actress reflected on her journey from Bollywood to establishing herself as a formidable force in Hollywood. Priyanka opened up about the hard-earned creative freedom she enjoys today.
“When I started, scripts were not customized for me,” Priyanka revealed. She fondly recalled a recent conversation with her husband, Nick Jonas, who quoted Beyoncé to describe her current career status, ‘You are on the other side of your sacrifice.’
Now in a position to pick and choose and create her own projects, Priyanka expressed her deep admiration for women who break boundaries in the industry. “I find Penélope Cruz, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie inspirational,” she stated, before dropping the bomb that a project with Jolie is on the horizon.
While details regarding the collaboration remain strictly under wraps, fans are guessing whether the powerhouse duo will team up for a high-octane Hollywood feature film, a major commercial, or a philanthropic initiative.
The announcement comes at a time when Priyanka is in one of the busiest and most ambitious phases of her career. Back home, she is currently wrapping up the final schedules of SS Rajamouli's highly anticipated pan-Indian action-adventure epic, Varanasi, alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Made on an astronomical budget, the globe-trotting spectacle is slated for a massive worldwide release on April 7, 2027. Beyond Varanasi, she also has Amri, a biographical drama directed by Mira Nair and helmer Nicholas Stoller’s Judgment Day.
