Ramayana: Yash films for Sita swayamvar scene on a grand set
According to Mid-Day, Yash is currently shooting for Ramayana in Mumbai. The actor, who plays King Ravana in the epic film, is reportedly filming the Sita swayamvar sequence, being shot on a massive set designed to recreate the grandeur of the Mithila kingdom.
The set reportedly features sprawling palace courtyards, intricately designed royal balconies, and vibrant rangoli-style floor motifs adorned with flowers, all crafted to capture the regal essence of the era. The sequence is also said to involve hundreds of junior artistes, making it one of the film’s most visually ambitious schedules so far.
With Yash filming as Ravana, the sequence is expected to depict the pivotal moment from the epic in which Ravana attempts, but fails, to lift the legendary Shiva Dhanush. This scene is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
A source told the portal that the current portion focuses on Ravana’s arrival at the swayamvar gathering and the dramatic tension surrounding the lifting of the bow. The source added that Yash has a commanding entry in the sequence and that the crowd’s energy changes the moment Ravana enters the court.
Additionally, since Sai Pallavi is portraying Sita, the actress is expected to join the shoot soon. However, Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly not part of this filming schedule.
