Salman Khan not involved as peacemaker between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh amid Don 3 row; Report
Recently, there were reports stating Salman Khan had stepped in to resolve the feud between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had stepped in to mediate the ongoing Don 3 dispute involving Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar appear to be inaccurate. However, this report has turned out to be incorrect. Now it has been reported online that no such intervention took place despite widespread speculation across industry circles.
No Salman Khan mediation in Don 3 row
According to HT City, “The speculations of Salman Khan calling and acting as a mediator are not true. No such intervention has taken place.” The clarification comes amid continued discussion surrounding the future of Don 3 and the circumstances that led to Ranveer’s reported exit from the highly anticipated project.
Ranveer Singh was announced as the new face of the Don franchise in 2023. Reportedly, the postponements were not due to Farhan Akhtar or producer Ritesh Sidhwani.
“Ranveer had come on board for the film and Farhan wanted to start it immediately after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. However, Ranveer had given dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra and had already begun look preparations for the film. Post that, Prasanth Varma’s project gathered momentum and Don 3 was again pushed from the actor’s side,” informed their source.
Their insider further claimed that Ranveer later chose to prioritize Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar. The inside said, “He felt that after a string of non-successful films, this particular project had the potential to elevate his standing with audiences and that his coming on board as Don after that would be better positioning for the franchise.”
According to their source, “Once Dhurandhar picked up momentum, Ranveer backed out of Don 3 on December 20, 2025, just three weeks before the film was scheduled to go on floors.” The reported decision allegedly triggered wider tensions between the actor and the makers.
Ranveer Singh's work front
On the professional front, Ranveer Singh is reportedly being considered for another ambitious project from filmmaker Aditya Dhar. Pinkvilla had exclusively reported the untitled high-concept film is currently in development, with Singh emerging as the leading contender due to his strong fit with Dhar’s vision for the character and the film’s expansive world. Meanwhile, on the personal front, Ranveer and Deepika Padukone are expecting their second child together.
