Suraj Nambiar finally breaks silence after announcing divorce with Mouni Roy: "There is no alimony, no third party..."
Businessman Suraj Nambiar has now cleared the air regarding the divorce reports about him and Mouni Roy.
Suraj Nambiar has strongly reacted to ongoing speculation surrounding his separation from actor Mouni Roy. Amid rumours suggesting the involvement of a “third party” and alleged disputes between the couple, Suraj issued a detailed statement calling the reports “malicious” and “baseless.”
Suraj Nambiar breaks silence on rumors
Addressing the speculation directly, Suraj posted on Instagram Stories, “Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved. Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other's wellbeing. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left atone (sic).”
Suraj further expressed disappointment over innocent individuals being dragged into the controversy and urged media outlets to report responsibly. “I want to state this clearly and finally: there is no truth to any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third party. Dragging other people into this is not cool. Specially innocent friends who have nothing to do with this. Mouni and I have both conducted ourselves with dignity through this period and we expect that same dignity to be extended to us by those reporting on it (sic),” he added.
Mouni Roy confirms separation
Amid the growing rumours, Mouni Roy also addressed the matter publicly and confirmed that the couple had decided to separate. Taking to social media, she shared a joint statement with Suraj explaining that they wished to handle the situation privately and respectfully.
The note read, “We note with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention to our personal lives by certain quarters of the media. We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably.”
While speculation around celebrity relationships often dominates social media conversations, both Mouni and Suraj have maintained that their separation is mutual and free from controversy. The couple has repeatedly emphasised that there are no disputes or external factors involved and has requested privacy as they navigate this personal transition.
