Reports suggested that Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to a Mumbai hospital after a health scare. But that wasn't the case. Read on to know the truth.
The internet went into a frenzy when reports started circulating that Bollywood's ultimate Shahenshah, Amitabh Bachchan, had been admitted to a Mumbai hospital. Fans worldwide started pouring in speedy recovery wishes for the 83-year-old icon. Rumors suggested that Big B was facing a severe health complication that required immediate medical attention. However, a report by ETimes stated that he went to the hospital for a routine check-up and there’s nothing to worry about.
Amitabh Bachchan was NOT hospitalized due to a health scare
Social media was buzzing with claims that Amitabh Bachchan had been admitted to the VIP enclosure of Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital due to sudden stomach-related complications. However, a source close to the megastar confirmed that he is hale and hearty.
While talking to the above-mentioned publication, the insider confirmed that the legendary actor is absolutely fine and was never hospitalized. The truth is that Big B did visit Nanavati Hospital, but for a routine medical check-up that he undergoes regularly every month. After the visit, he returned home.
The informer further clarified, “The news is absolutely false. He is absolutely fine, and after his regular hospital visit on Saturday, he was back home and was also seen driving his car from Jalsa to Janak the next day. He is currently at home.” Another source close to the Bachchan family slammed the rumors directly, stating, “This news is absolutely fake."
If this wasn’t enough to confirm that he is all right, the Piku actor took to his official blog in the early hours of Wednesday to share a cryptic poem in Hindi, which means, “When the eagle becomes quiet, parrots begin to speak. After eating millet bread and greens, they begin talking like crows the moment food enters their mouths.”
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is reuniting with Kamal Haasan for Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2. The upcoming film is a sequel to the 2024 blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas and directed by Nag Ashwin.
In his blog, senior Bachchan shared pictures of their reunion and expressed, “Meeting up with the great Kamal Haasan… we shall be working together after ages… last in Giraftar. Kalki 2 has begun work, and I shall ever cherish the love and affection of your anticipated presence on Sunday.”
