After showcasing her acting talent, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is ready to step into the new phase of her life. The childhood bestie of Alia Bhatt is allegedly getting married to director Sharan Sharma.
Sharan is a well-known director in Bollywood, having made his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and most helmed the sports-drama Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. Before directing, he also worked closely as an assistant and creative director on films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
A source told Hindustan Times, “Akansha and Sharan are getting married on July 11, followed by a wedding reception on July 12. The reception will take place in Juhu and hosted by the boy’s side.”
The wedding is set to be a strictly private affair with no printed invitation cards sent out. The ceremony will be restricted to close family and friends. A grand wedding reception will be hosted by the groom’s side the following day, July 12, 2026, at the JW Marriott hotel in Mumbai.

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is an Indian actress who has steadily carved out her own identity in the entertainment industry. Born to veteran actor-director Shashi Ranjan and Anu Ranjan, and the younger sister of actress Anushka Ranjan, Akansha chose to carve her own path through independent work.
