Indian actor Prabhas has a busy schedule with multiple movies releasing in the near future. Among them is the upcoming period action movie Fauzi, which is currently in production. However, recent news from the sets of the film has disappointed fans. Reports suggest that actor Rajesh Sharma was bitten by a poisonous insect while filming. Hence, he was hospitalized. Who is Prabhas’ Fauzi co-actor Rajesh Sharma?
Rajesh Sharma is a well-known Indian actor with a career spanning several decades. Born on October 8, 1970, in Ludhiana, Punjab, he is a graduate of the National School of Drama in New Delhi.
He made his film debut in the 1996 movie Maachis and gained widespread recognition for his breakthrough performance in the 2003 film Parineeta alongside Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and debutant Vidya Balan.
Since then, he has appeared in numerous acclaimed projects, including Khosla Ka Ghosla, The Dirty Picture, Special 26, Piku, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Paatal Lok and Bhooth Bangla, to name a few.
Why was Rajesh Sharma hospitalized?
Rajesh Sharma became the talk of the town after numerous media outlets reported that he was hospitalized in Kolkata after suffering a suspected poisonous insect bite while filming for the movie Fauji at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
According to these reports, the actor felt a bite after filming concluded but did not seek immediate medical attention. His condition reportedly deteriorated later, characterized by high fever, breathlessness, and a spreading infection in his leg, leading to his admission to a hospital.
As mentioned by NDTV, his family doctor said, “It is too early to make any definite assessment. Rajesh remains under close observation and is not yet out of danger.”
On the other hand, some reports quoted his personal assistant stating that the actor was hospitalized due to health complications arising from diabetes, which resulted in a leg infection requiring medical attention.
