Acclaimed Korean actor and filmmaker, Ha Jung Woo is reportedly gearing up for another high-profile role. According to Soompi, online reports suggest the actor has been offered a leading role in the upcoming Inside Men prequel film trilogy, a project that is already generating significant interest among cinema fans.

Responding to the reports, Ha Jung Woo’s agency Walkhouse Company confirmed that discussions are underway. The agency stated, “Ha Jung Woo has received an offer to star in ‘Inside Men’ (working title) and is currently reviewing it.”
Revisiting the world of Inside Men
The new trilogy will expand the universe of Inside Men, the acclaimed crime action franchise based on the webtoon by Yoon Tae Ho, best known for Misaeng. The story explores power struggles and the complex relationships between influential figures. The original 2015 film earned widespread praise for its gripping narrative and powerful performances.
From Series to Film Trilogy
The project was initially developed as a television series under director Mo Wan Il. Earlier plans reportedly included a star-studded cast featuring Song Kang Ho, Koo Kyo Hwan, Soo Ae, and Lee Sung Min. However, following a period of restructuring and significant casting changes, the production has now been reimagined as a three-part film series.
Set in the late 1980s, the trilogy will serve as a prequel to the events depicted in the original Inside Men. The films are expected to delve deeper into the origins of the powerful figures and networks that shaped the story audiences came to know.
