England defeated the defending champions by 8 wickets to enter the finals of the World Cup 2019. England's all-rounder Adil Rashid who claimed three crucial wickets in the semis was quoted by the ICC website as, “Morgan always had faith in me from day one till now.”

He said that there are games when you might not do well and that’s the part and parcel of cricket, but Morgan always had confidence that he can do his job. He also mentioned that Eoin Morgan 100 percent is the best captain that he has ever played under. “He knows my game now inside out. I’ve been with him for four years, through good times and not so good times. He knows my strengths and what I’m capable of,” Rashid added.

The 31-year-old who suffered from a shoulder injury recently struggled to bowl consistent googlies. He admitted that he had a bit of shoulder problem and has not bowled googlies much, even though that’s a big weapon for him. He said that his shoulder has a little bit of problem, but he knew he has to bowl even if there was a bit of pain. He admitted that before the shoulder injury he was confident of bowling everything. “Once you have a niggle, it becomes a bit hard with the rotation; the arm gets a bit lower and you don’t find that snap,” he added.

England will encounter the Black Caps at the Finals tomorrow, July 14 at Lord’s cricket ground at 3 PM IST.
