Both Afghanistan and West Indies have had a dismal run in the World Cup 2019, and will be playing their last game when they face each other on Thursday. While Afghanistan's inexperience at the big stage has come to haunt them, Windies' lack of maturity while batting has been their nemesis. Though the Men in Maroon have great strikers of the ball, the batters have been unable to pace their innings well, often playing in the T20 mode.

However, Windies' bowlers have been pitching in with a better performance and have been the highlight of their World Cup campaign so far. Sheldon Cottrell has impressed with his left arm deliveries, while Kemar Roach has pitched in when given chances. Afghanistan, on the other hand, have been inconsistent in this department, and sans Mujeeb Ur Rahman and on occasions, Rashid Khan, have been unable to display a noteworthy bowling display.

Up against big strikers, their bowling will be tested, and if they err in line or length, the Windies batters have the skills and the power to smash the balls out of the park. Due to the might of the West Indian batters, they are the favourites.
