Australian coach, Justin Langer on Tuesday revealed that young Peter Handscomb will make his World Cup debut while all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is also fit to feature in the all-important ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final against England on Thursday at Edgbaston.

"I'll tell you the truth. Peter Handscomb will definitely play, 100 percent" said Langer.

"He deserves it. He was stiff not to be on this tour, he was so unlucky not to be in the initial squad after what he'd done to get us to that point. He's in good form, he played well for Australia A, gives us that nice balance in the middle order. He's got good temperament, he plays spin well, he's on top of his game, so Pete will definitely play."

Confirming the Stoinis’ injury status, he said, “Stoinis looks good. It was a very good nets session actually, there was a bit of heat in there again and it was very competitive and that always brings the best out in Stoins, so he did a good job today and he's fit to go."

The Men in Yellow have played really well in the World Cup so far, barring a few off days in the field. They will now be looking to pip hosts in the semi-finals to make it through.

However, Eoin Morgan’s men without any doubt will also come hard at them. They have made a stunning comeback in the last few matches and won’t let this opportunity go with ease.
