Earlier this month, BLACKPINK's Kill This Love set the record for surpassing 1.2 billion views on YouTube. According to Soompi, Kill This Love was released on April 5, 2019, at 12 am KST, which means that it took the group one year, 10 months, and 4 days to reach the milestone. Now, BLACKPINK has added another jewel to their star-studded crown.

BLACKPINK's DDU-DU DDU-DU's official music video reached 1.5 billion views on YouTube on February 23, 2021. DDU-DU DDU-DU was first released on June 15, 2018, at 6 pm KST, which means that it took approximately two years and eight months to achieve the 1.5 billion view mark on YouTube. The Pretty Savage hitmakers are the first K-Pop group to have two music videos with over 1.2 billion views. Their first music video to break the record was DDU-DU DDU-DU which has now achieved 1.5 billion views on YouTube. Kill This Love is also the fastest K-pop group music video to surpass 1.2 billion views. DDU-DU DDU-DU can be described as a peppy track with foot-tapping music infused with bubble-gum pop sounds. The signature hook step is a rage among fans and is one of the quartet's most loved songs.
