While 2020 wasn’t the ideal year to set trends or explore your inner fashionistas, the year did teach us the importance of comfortable fashion. As even the most stylish people lounged around in sweatpants, loungewear, 2021’s trends have stemmed from that. As the world goes back to the “new normal” we are taking a few style lessons from the challenging year with us. From the comfiest sweater trends to the chic looks that are in, here are the Korean-inspired trends that will continue to reign in 2021.

Preppy vibe: Taking cues from AB6IX’s Lee Dae Hwi and his exquisite tasselled jacket, we have got our eyes on tweed! The versatile fabric has been around for ages and always gives off a very cool yet preppy vibe.

Parisian chic: Taking a page out of BLACKPINK member Rosé’s book, we are fans of the Paris-inspired style. Pleated skirts, berets and chic stockings, are all loved by BLACKPINK’s Rose, and now us!

Sweater weather: 90s inspired sweater vests are not only cosy but incredibly stylish! Now, sweater vests may remind some of you of your school uniform days or your grandpa’s closet, but don’t let any preconceptions you might have to stop you from slipping an argyle knit vest like MAMAMOO’s Wheein did over a basic white tee or button-up for your next casual day out.

Sun safety: As summer sets, we take inspiration from Summer style queen Weki Meki member Kim Doyeon. The chic bucket hats she sports on multiple occasions has inspired us to take on the trend this Summer.
