Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, and Yami Gautam starrer Bala hit the screens on November 8. Yet another incredible act put up by the starring ensemble, their performance reflected well at the ticket window. The film opened setting a new record for Ayushmann as it crossed the first-day collection of his last film Dream Girl. Raking 9.75 crores on the first day itself, The film minted around Rs 42 Crore nett over the weekend.

Bagging positive reviews from the netizens, celebs, and critics, the film crossed another milestone on its day 4 as it hit the 50 crore mark within the first week of its release. Even though the Monday figure dropped by 15%, the film managed to mark its half-century at the Box Office. It collected around 7.20 crore nett on Monday after which it is expected to see a boost on Tuesday on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti falling on the weekday.

The recent collection figures bear a great resemblance to that of Chhichhore and Dream Girl, which were declared as super hits at the ticket window. The first weekend saw steady growth in numbers and now the coming week will decide where the film stands in the race.

As far as the story goes, Ayushmann Khurrana has lived up to the title of an unconventional hero given to him. The film showcases a unique yet relatable tale of a man suffering from premature balding. Ayushmann as Balmukund Shukla leaves no stone unturned to hide his receding hairline. The film explores the need for society to be more accepting and welcoming. It preaches self-love and acceptance rising beyond physical attributes.
