Bandar, directed by Anurag Kashyap and starring Bobby Deol in the lead role, along with Sanya Malhotra, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Jitendra Joshi, Raj B Shetty, and others, kicked off its box office run on a dull note. The movie collected Rs. 50 lakh nett on its opening day, as per estimates.
The one positive for Bandar is that it has garnered a positive reception among the audience, which is expected to benefit it in the long run, if the movie manages to sustain in cinemas. Mounted on a decent budget, the Bobby Deol starrer should aim to record a good growth over the weekend. So far, the movie is looking to close its opening weekend around Rs. 2 to 3 crore nett in India.
The Anurag Kashyap directorial is facing tough competition from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Peddi. It will be interesting to see whether Bandar can surprise at the box office or not.
