Bhooth Bangla Box Office Week 5: Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi's Clean HIT horror comedy crosses Rs 160 crore mark in 35 days
Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, added Rs. 6.15 crore in its 5th Week. The horror comedy is looking to wind up its run around Rs. 165 crore mark.
Bhooth Bangla collected Rs. 65 lakh on its 5th Thursday, closing the 5th week around Rs. 6.15 crore. It registered around a 50 per cent drop from the previous week. This took its 5-week cume to slightly over the Rs. 160 crore mark.
The Priyadarshan directorial is now running in its final legs. It has some fuel left in the tank, which will take its total cume to the Rs. 165 crore mark. It will be a promising total for the cost involved. The movie has already emerged as a Clean Hit venture at the box office, the third for Akshay Kumar in the post-pandemic times.
The industry tends to have a good time when Akshay Kumar delivers hits. He makes sure to do two or three HITs or successful films a year; it is equally important, as that keeps the box office ticking. This is something where Akshay Kumar stands out, as others in the industry, except Ajay Devgn, have significantly lower output, with some of them taking two or three years for one film instead. The box office in India is star-driven; it cannot be in good shape if leading stars are not bringing films regularly.
